La scelta curatoriale di [.BOX] prosegue il percorso local intrapreso negli ultimi mesi per focalizzare l\u2019attenzione sulle peculiarit\u00e0 artistiche e sociali delle opere audiovisive realizzate da artisti che lavorano in un determinato paese o territorio, al fine di avere una visione localizzata e suggerire un dialogo sulle ultime tendenze audivisive.<\/p>\n

Il progetto curatoriale \u201cFilm[S]cend\u201d realizzato per [.BOX] da Laura Focarazzo, curatrice ed artista argentina di Buenos Aires indaga il panorama filmico argentino e il rapporto sensibile tra pellicola e digitale. Per questo progetto ha selezionato giovani artisti che si confrontano con l\u2019esperienza estetica e formale analogica come momento di resistenza e memoria, esaltandone l\u2019esperienza tattile e visiva della pellicola e restituendo allo spettatore un\u2019esperienza visiva fortemente caratterizzata dalla riappropriazione dei media analogici in chiave contemporanea.<\/p>\n

In un mondo che sembra ci abbia gi\u00e0 mostrato tutto, Film[S]cend si propone come ambito di resistenza, dove gli artisti con esplorano con coraggio e sensibilit\u00e0 \u201ci margini\u201d del supporto filmico.<\/p>\n

Immersed in a sea of faint images under the imposition of a time that contracts, in a world that seems to have shown us everything, this selection of works is presented as a breath of resistance.<\/em>
\n Argentinian filmmakers who work their creations by exploring formats and inquiring into the crossroads.<\/em>
\n They shoot from the subtraction of the images which, due to multiplicity, are almost impossible to see.<\/em>
\n Experimentation that takes place at the time of shooting of the images as much as during developing, and then by intervening directly on the film, or the projection.<\/em>
\n They dare to explore from the intimacy of those who are looking far away from the center. <\/em>

Laura Focarazzo<\/strong> is a video artist and independent curator based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her works include experimental films and videos as well as curatorial works. She has participated in exhibitions and international film festivals around the world. She is a member of the international audio\/visual group: Exquisite, What? based in Italy.
