La democrazia \u00e8 diventata il tema del\u00a0 gioco di parole <Scrabble> e momento di riflessione visiva per diversi artisti che hanno interpretato le parole risultanti dal gioco relative alla democrazia e le\u00a0 parole pi\u00f9 usate nel web che iniziano con la lettera D. Le opere presentate vogliono quindi continuare a giocare con i possibili significati e le contraddizioni che girano intorno al concetto di democrazia.<\/em><\/p>\n

“La democrazia \u00e8 un termine molto astratto a cui ci siamo forse abituati troppo, la democrazia \u00e8 un sistema politico che – nel migliore dei casi – aiuta le persone a ricercare la felicit\u00e0 – come sostiene la Costituzione degli Stati Uniti.
\nLa democrazia e la libert\u00e0 sono tra i beni pi\u00f9 alti che abbiamo nel mondo occidentale e ci sembra che sia tempo di pensare a ci\u00f2 che pensiamo o almeno alla nuvola di significato che viene in mente con la parola “democrazia” .
\nQuello che abbiamo fatto per creare questo progetto \u00e8 alimentare un giocatore di Scarabeo con la parola “democrazia” come primo punto di partenza.
\nDemocrazia significa per esempio: regole di maggioranza. Quindi cosa \u00e8 pi\u00f9 ovvio che cercare le parole pi\u00f9 usate che iniziano con “d”? Abbiamo cercato sul web e compilato un secondo elenco con queste parole.
\nIl passo successivo \u00e8 stato chiedere ai videoartisti di tutto il mondo di scegliere una parola dall’elenco “democrazia – scrabble” e una parola dall’elenco “parole pi\u00f9 usate” e produrre a ciascuna di queste parole un piccolo video lungo al massimo 4 minuti.
\nDopo aver ricevuto le opere le abbiamo suddivise nella selezione “democrazia scrabble” e nella selezione “d-words pi\u00f9 usate” finalmente presentate al pubblico.”Joas Nebe<\/p>\n

“Democracy is a very abstract term to which we got maybe too much accustomed, democracy a political system that \u2013 in the best case- helps people to pursuit happiness \u2013 as the US constitution takes it.
\nDemocracy and freedom are among the highest goods we have in the Western world and it seems to us that it is time to think about what we think, democracy stands for, or at least about the cloud of meaning that comes with the word \u201cdemocracy\u201d.
\nWhat we did in order to create this project is feeding a scrabble finder with the word \u201cdemocracy\u201d and taking the output of the machine as our first starting point.
\nDemocracy means e.g. that majority rules. So what is more obvious than looking for the most used words that start with \u201cd\u201d? We searched the web and compiled a second list with these words.
\nThe next step was asking video artists from all over the world to pick one word from the \u201cdemocracy scrabble\u201d list and one word from the \u201cmost used d-words\u201d list and produce to each of this words a small film, each film not longer than 4 minutes.
\nAfter receiving the films we compiled them to a \u201cdemocracy scrabble\u201d list- film and to a \u201cmost used d-words\u201d list film, which are finally presented to the public.” by Joas Nebe<\/p>\n
