Da un lato, le mani, come oggetto, simboleggiano il processo di creazione e sono connesse con il lavoro e cibo. In altro modo sono anche simbolo di amore, passione e il tatto affettivo. La mano sinistra in alcune culture simboleggia la grazia e femminilit\u00e0, quella di destra \u00e8 un simbolo di virilit\u00e0 e forza. I gesti, come forma primaria di comunicazione non verbale, rappresentano sentimenti e relazioni diverse tra le persone, e tra uomini e del mondo. Nel contesto della video arte, le mani sono oggetto di molte interpretazioni concettuali. La selezione \u201chands\u201d \u00e8 un tentativo di illustrarne alcune di esse\u201d. Yunna Kim (South Korea), You and Me, 2010, 03:2<\/p>\n<p>Pavlina Mladenova is a multidisciplinary art researcher and independent curator. \u00a0She graduated in Marketing from the Varna University of Economics, with focus visual arts. As a researcher she examines the multi-layered relationship between \u201cart\u201d and \u201cmarketing communication for art\u201d, using a variety of media and experimenting with various means of impacting connections in the two-way chain of \u201cpublic\u201d and \u201cart\u201d. With research projects she has been awarded residency grants India, South Korea and Italy. Among her recent\u00a0 research projects are \u201cKochu Drawing\u201d &amp; \u201cFamilies Archive\u201d (South Korea, 2011); \u201cFirst Contact\u201d (South Korea, 2011 \u2013 10); \u201cDimensions of Motion\u201d (South Korea, 2010); \u201cWords (Re)Research\u201d (Italy, 2008); \u201cMarketing Communications For Art\u2019s Sake\u201d (Italy, 2008). As a curator she focuses in video art. She is Co-Founder, Co-Director and Co-Curator of the Videoholica Festival in Varna, Bulgaria since its inception in 2008.
